Hello, students and families! Please click on the link below to see a quick video introducing you to 4th grade and some fun information about myself. I can't wait to see you all in-person or over a video call soon. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns about school starting! My email is: smccally@burnetcisd.net

Welcome to Mrs. McCally's Math Class!

I am Mrs. McCally and I will be the math teacher for 4th grade. This is my second year of teaching and I'm beyond exciting to see how this year will go. I graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies for EC - 6. Bertram has become a second home for me, and I absolutely love being apart of this community! I have a 4 year-old son, who takes up all my extra free time. Most days you will find us out on a hike or playing spaceships on the playground. I am looking forward to working with you and your child!

A few things to know for this year:
  • With the pandemic still going on, all staff and students will be required to wear a face mask this year. This is something new for everyone and hopefully we can learn/adjust as the year progresses.
  • For math, students will need to study their 'math facts' for 10 minutes each night! We want to build fluency in our math skills. There might be the occasional homework on weekends if I feel the need for some extra practice.
  • Email is the best way to reach me! I will check it consistently throughout the day. If there is an emergency, please call me using my extension. My conference hours for the 2020-2021 school year will be: 7:50-8:45 am every Wednesday and Friday.
  • Email: smccally@burnetcisd.net
  • Phone: school number; extension *3784

Wish List:
  • Pencils are always needed!
  • Gallon ziplock bags
  • Headphones for your child!

Thank you so much to the families that have donated supplies already. They are greatly appreciated!!!
