Welcome to Mrs. Fucik's 3rd Grade Class
Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Fucik (Foo-check) and this is my 7th year in education. I have previously taught in kinder, 1st, and 2nd grades. This year I am co-teaching with Mrs. Barstow. I will be the ELAR teacher in addition to 1 social studies class. In addition to my tenure in education, other experience is in psychology, sociology, human development and counseling.
Here are a few "Good Things to Know" for the year.
- Our snack time is in the morning and we encourage snacks that are easy to open and non-messy
- Only water is allowed in classroom water bottles
- Birthdays are celebrated at the end of the day
- No cellphones or electronics are allowed in class
Bertram Elementary regularly has activities going on. Please make sure your email is up to date in Skyward to avoid missing any communication. I do NOT assign homework. Should you feel your child is in need of additional learning experiences, please reach out and I can share resources.

8:00 - 9:00 Reading (AM Students)
9:00 - 10:00 Writing (AM Students)
10:00 - 10:15 Leader in me
10:20 - 11:10 Activity (Gym, Library, Music or Art)
11:10 - 11:40 Recess
12:40 - 12:10 Lunch
1:15 - 2:10 Reading (PM Students)
2:10 - 3:10 Writing (PM Students)
3:15 Pack up / Release
Parent Conferences are by appointment Monday,Wednesday and Friday between 10:30 - 11:00. These can be over the phone or in person.
