Welcome to Mrs. Fucik's 4th Grade Class

Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Fucik (Foo-check) and this is my 8th year in education. I have previously taught in kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. This year I am co-teaching with Mrs. Casey. I will be the Reading/Writing and social studies teacher. In addition to my tenure in education, other experience is in psychology, sociology, human development and counseling.

Here are a few "Good Things to Know" for the year.

Our snack time is in the morning and we encourage snacks that are easy to open and non-messy
Only water is allowed in classroom water bottles
Birthdays are celebrated at the end of the day
No cell phones or electronics are allowed in class

Bertram Elementary regularly has activities going on. Please make sure your email is up to date in Skyward to avoid missing any communication. I do NOT assign homework. Should you feel your child is in need of additional learning experiences, please reach out and I can share resources.

Daily Schedule

7:15 - Drop Off

7:25 - 7:40 Prepare for the day / Morning Work

7:55 - 8:55 WIN (What I Need)

8:55-9:15 Social Studies (Snack Time)

9:15 - 11:15 Reading/Writing

11:20 - 12:10 Activity

12:15 - 12:45 Lunch

12:45 - 1:15 Recess (After recess, Mrs. Fucik and Mrs. Casey will switch students)

1:15-3:15 Reading / Writing

3:15 - clean up / Prepare to release
