Welcome to Mr. Welch's Class!
Welcome to 4th Grade! I am thrilled to be a member of the Bertram Bulldogs and even more excited to be your 4th Grade teacher!
Although I now call this community home, I previously taught 4th and 5th Grade in Killeen ISD beginning in January 2025. Before becoming a teacher, I proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for nearly 23 years.
After moving 13 times throughout my military career, I am excited to finally put down roots and become part of the Bertram community. I look forward to getting to know each of you and partnering with your families to make this an exciting, successful, and memorable school year.

Communication and Parent-Teacher Conferences
Communication between home and school is an important part of your child's success. I will post my weekly newsletter on our class webpage and email it through Skyward each week. My goal is to send the newsletter on Saturday mornings, although there may be an occasional week when it is sent on Sunday. Each newsletter will include information about upcoming units, lessons, important dates, and assessments so you'll always know what your child is learning in class.
Our first round of conferences occurred on October 12th. These conferences were a great success from my perspective, and I really enjoyed getting to see everyone in person. If you were unable to attend a conference or need to meet again, please reach out directly so that we can meet. Consistent and ongoing communication is key to the success of your student and I will do everything I can to support you and your student.
