Author’s Craft: graphic text/print features
Academic Vocab: related words with prefixes and suffixes
Writing: Writing procedural text. How to writing. You are the expert and writing to teach others.
Language: singular and proper nouns
Spelling: spiral review
Math: Students will explore the measurement of liquid volume in liters. They will estimate and decompose a liter using a vertical number line. We will compare liquid volume and solve word problems.
Science: Force: How do magnets affect objects? Explore attract and repel in action.
Social Studies: Celebrate Freedom and understand the importance of the Declaration of Independence. Examine the constitution.

Lesson 9: Objective: Solve mixed word problems involving all four operations with
ounces, pounds, liters, and milliliters given in the same units.
Lesson 10: Objective: Name numbers up to 100,000 by building understanding of the
place value chart and placement of commas for naming base thousand
units.
Lesson 11:Objective: Read and write numbers up to 100,000 using base ten numerals,
number names, expanded form, and expanded notation.
