Meet Mrs. Ellsworth
Welcome! My name is Mrs. Anel Ellsworth, and I am honored to serve as the K–5 Reading and Math Intervention Teacher. This school year marks my 28th year in education, and I continue to love helping students discover their strengths and build confidence as learners.
I work with kindergarten through fifth-grade students who need additional support in reading and/or math. My goal is to provide targeted, individualized instruction that helps every child grow academically while developing a love for learning.
Intervention provides students with extra instruction focused on the specific skills they need to be successful in the classroom. Lessons are based on student data and classroom performance and are designed to:
- Strengthen foundational reading and math skills
- Build confidence and independence
- Close learning gaps
- Support classroom instruction
- Celebrate student growth and success
Every student learns differently, and I believe all children can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to practice.
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that learning should be engaging, encouraging, and meaningful. Every child deserves to feel successful and capable. By creating a positive learning environment, setting high expectations, and providing individualized instruction, students can build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
One of my favorite quotes is:
