Some students have prescription medication and over-the-counter (OTC) medication kept on campus. On Monday, March 23, campuses are going to make available the opportunity for parents to pick up medication during the following timeframes: 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. or 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Parents can reserve a pickup time in advance by completing the Medication Retrieval Appointment Request. Please keep in mind the following when planning to pick up student medication:
• Prescription medications may only be retrieved by adults who are listed as the emergency contacts in the District’s student information system.
• OTC medication can also be retrieved by other adults with a note from the parent.
• Adults must be ready to show their official personal identification to school staff to verify that they are a parent or authorized emergency contact, or in the case of OTC medication, to verify the identity of the individual picking up.
• Parents or authorized adults who come to retrieve medication will be directed to an area in front of the campus, and must remain in their vehicle. A staff member will bring the medication stored in the clinic to the vehicle.
